WHO ARE WE?

The Director of Transcentral (Pty) Ltd, Eva Arissani, has been in the language industry for the past eleven years. She had the fantastic opportunity to reside in many countries and got to experience different cultures. She did part of her basic education in France and undertook her university studies at University of Pretoria where she specialized in English, French and Translation studies. After graduating, she took a position as FLE Expert and Translation/Interpretation Coordinator at Alliance Française de Pretoria where she set up a Translation Department which did not exist at the time. 10 Years later, in October 2016, she decided to get out of her comfort zone or like we say in French ‘sortir des sentiers battus’ and start something else. That is when she set up her own language services company called Transcentral (PTY) Ltd, a registered South African company. She is a FLE Expert, a Translation Expert, a Sworn Translator of the High Court and a Published Author.

WHAT IS IT THAT WE DO?

Translation:

 We offer regular translation services such the translation of emails, mails, letters and other regular documents.

 We also provide our clients with sworn / certified translation for various administrative, legal and academic procedures that may be requested by Tertiary institutions, SAQA (in South Africa), the High Court, to name but a few.

 We translate books and other pieces of literature.

 We cater for specialized / industry specific translation.

Proofreading:

The final stage of the editing process focusing on surface errors such as misspellings and mistakes in grammar.

Editing:

It has to do with the way your paper is organized, the transitions between paragraphs. It focuses on content, style, clarity, overall structure, syntax, etc., which is why it is highly advisable to use a professional with excellent mastery of the language. This process is often mistakenly used interchangeably with proofreading, although the two processes focus on different aspects of the document.

Voiceover:

We have professional voiceover artists. We have partnered with several recording studios, should you wish us to handle your project from top to bottom.

Corporate training/ Facilitation:

We strive to develop communication / language skills that are practical and relevant to your business.

A good facilitation gives a competitive edge to any organized events.

WHO ARE SOME OF OUR CLIENTS & WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?

In a few months’ time, we received assignments from various individuals, African institutions, international organizations, international companies, French speaking embassies, NGOs and South African companies such as Kheth’Impilo Aids Free Living, the Pan-African Parliament, the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF), the African World Heritage Fund (AWHF), the Brenthurst Foundation, NextSource Materials Inc, the National School of Government (NSG) to name but a few.

In 2017, one of our biggest literary translation projects was the coordination and translation from English to French of the book, Making Africa Work (L’Afrique en marche) by Greg Mills, Jeffrey Herbst, H.E Olusegun Obasanjo, Dickie Davis. (About 85 000 words).
