Crafty Cavy – I use the traditional techniques of knitting, crochet, tatting and embroidery in the design of handmade items; I can also teach you how to make your own! My original designs are future classics.

As a creative person, I have a variety of different skills and qualifications on my CV, including a PhD in Computer Science in the field of artificial intelligence and program debugging, and I have written a book on program design. I have 25 years’ experience as a university lecturer, teaching database, programming & program design, management support systems and project management. I have created and used videos and animations to support students on my modules, and these techniques are useful in many different contexts. I have studied Egyptian hieroglyphs and Cuneiform, and I even managed to weave these into teaching computing from the perspective of communication. I keep rescued guinea pigs, nursing them back to health where necessary (I have 8 at the moment), and have a certificate in veterinary anatomy and physiology.
