On Thursday 18 October 2018 I had the good fortune to be present at the Global Woman Club City London event, held at the Success Resources HQ where I am based. I was very impressed and saw so many inspirational women from different nationalities.
The event started with Mirela, the CEO of Global Woman Club, speaking from the stage to open the occasion and welcome everyone. She then introduced the new regional director, Teresa Le, who spoke some very motivational words. Another highlight of the evening was that a very special guest speaker, the Princess of Kuwait, Sheikha Hissah Saad Al Abdallah Al Salem Al Sabah, who spoke about women empowerment in business in Kuwait.
This was followed by Veronica Tan, the co-founder of Success Resources, who gave a speech about her journey over 25 years as a co-founder. After that, Teresa encouraged other women who were members of Global Woman Club to get on the stage and share their stories.
During the break, I was amazed by the women who were there because they were all so motivational and different. The stories that were shared were quite varied and each was powerful in their own way.
During the event, I had the responsibility of signing up new members to the newsletter or the premium membership of Global Woman Club.
At the back of the room, there was a table decorated with wine and much food, including sushi. The food had been homemade by Teresa and very delicious.
It was an amazing evening as well as an interesting experience and I am looking forward to the next Global Woman Club Business Networking Evening again.
